VSP Estimator Systems

The VSP concept is using a traditional knowledge for evaluating and estimating the industrial cost. VSP it's based onto the manufacturing flow, typical in the tools and packaging machines operation.

The systems is working by a technological code that is resuming the crucial information needs. VSP is connecting together all the manufacturing cost drivers; like time tables, routings, manpower costs all based onto direct costing principles.

The classification of the Technological Code is managing going through:

• Component name
• Morphological Code
• Raw Material and Heat or surface treatments.

When the designer is filling the PDM information or is writing the information onto the drawing or CAD file, the part number is the way for identifying the components. But anytime a "name" is giving to the components, like shaft, bearing, guide, support and so on. There are also some "special" name that are often inside a company machinery slang. All of these names are following some identification principles due to the morphology, tradition, similitude or whatever the designer needs and/or because the company mentality is driving.

The VSP it's a method to run such way to do, onto prefixed rules, able to supply finally the routing, the set up time and the run time each technology it needs for manufacturing the component. More of all the VSP it's a manufacturing classification code able to drive the direct costing estimating systems from the drawings to three cash flow levels. The cost control managing is becoming a technical fact to predict the cost of any manufacturing product instead an accounting way to do it later on. So the goal to know the cost of a product before manufacturing it's, in such way, assured.

The main advantage

The VSP way to classify the part number, is finding the similar components each other's. That means optimizing the designing process and decreasing manufacturing cost using the same set up time for running similar parts. In facts it means buy few technological code instead of many part number. Such P.O. number is coming to one supplier only with few order lines.
